    The first IFSC European Youth Cup (EYC) of the year is being held at EICA Ratho, Edinburgh over the weekend of 18th - 20th May. The event involves both Speed and Lead climbing events for male and female junior, youth A and youth B categories.

GROUPS

 
Group sizes will vary depending on the course but Outdoor Adventure Warehouse prides itself on delivering quality courses. Our optimum group size will be between 6-8.


SAFETY

Outdoor Adventure Warehouse holds an Adventure Activity Licensing Authority (AALA) license. This means the climbing and paddling activities follow strict guidelines and rules and are frequently given inspections.
The AALA is a body that ensures the consumer is provided with a system that gives them the legal reassurance they deserve and peace of mind that their children are doing activities that are controlled by strict safety guidelines.

Outdoor Adventure Warehouse is also a full member of the Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL).

 

 

STAFF

  

The staff selection is meticulous and all who work for the Outdoor Adventure Warehouse are chosen for their fun, enthusiastic and professional characters and for their experience. They are energetic and responsible. The small groups ensure that the children are constantly entertained with maximum attention.

The staff are monitored closely throughout the week and meet the following criteria:

1) Police and criminal records checks (CRBs)
2) References
3) Interview
4) Induction training and first aid training for the Activity Leaders

 

FOOD


Outdoor Adventure Warehouse offer tea, coffee and squash for anyone attending centre based events. Snacks will be available to purchase but it is advisible to bring a pack lunch with you.

 

WHAT TO BRING?


A full kit list will be attached to you booking confirmation.

 

WHAT CAMPING FACILITIES ARE THERE?


The camping facilities are basic, there is a cold water tap, toilet block (no showers) and a ‘camp fire’ area. There is a large field for games and activities and a beautiful area of woods for walks.
